There are times in life when we all need someone to talk to, who will not judge us or make us feel ashamed. Garey seeks to provide a place where women and men are able to process the disappointments of life that lead to unhelpful behaviours and difficult relationships.
In his work with couples, Garey provides a safe environment where both people can explore the issues that have caused them to build walls rather than bridges between them. Using a combination of therapeutic approaches, he helps clients deal with the issues that cause them to feel trapped in their lives – the hurts, frustrations and expectations that lead to depression and anxiety.
Garey is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) which is recognised as being effective in helping couples develop and improve their relationship. He has additional training and certification in supervision and working with Domestic Violence.
Garey also offers couples a Relationship Assessment, which is an online questionnaire that is completed at home. It scores your relationship’s strengths and challenges and provides personalised, clinical feedback plus specific recommendations for treatment to Garey, based on your answers. If you are interested in doing this assessment, please enquire at firstname.lastname@example.org.
He offers a client-centred approach, with appointments in the evenings and Saturday mornings.
